Twelve paddlers were amongst the 146 who turned out for the Winter Series marathon at Cambridge, which attracted entries from 13 clubs. There was a record field of 25 boats in the Senior K2 class and fierce competition for the medals. Adam B & David G secured bronze which, following their silver at the previous race, makes them the current leaders in this class on series points - though it is still early in the series. |
Dave H won silver in the Men's Vet race and Octavia took silver in Ladies, as well as being the first lady Vet. Eilidh & Catherine paddled doubles on the middle-distance course in the combined K2/MC2 class and found themselves up against a big turnout of top Canadian paddlers - but they did receive first K2 medals. |
