Bishops Stortford Regatta (27 Sep 2015)

29/9/2015

The last of the summer's regattas took place at Bishops Stortford on Sunday. The club played host to visiting teams from Chelmsford, Ealing, Herts Young Mariners and Viking. Together with a good turnout from the home team, there were a total of 59 competitors.
The 500m K1 heats were followed by the 200m heats. During the lunch break, crews were formed for K2 races, which took place over 500m and 2000m.

Defibrillator training (2 Sep 2015)

16/9/2015

A trainer from the East of England Ambulance Service came along to the club on 2nd September to deliver a training course to eleven of the club's members and coaches in the use of our new AED (defibrillator).

The training, and the device itself were supplied to the club by the charity SADS (Sudden Adult Death Trust) and funded by the Bishop's Stortford Community Hospital Charitable Trust.  Linda Ketteridge (pictured below), representing the donors, came along to tell the group about the work of the Trust.
